St. Bernard is well known for their competitive energy in volleyball and basketball. When playoffs come around for both sports, St. Bernard sends multiple teams to the playoffs. Come visit St. Bernard to see their trophy case and banners that represent that success. We as a school and athletic program promote healthy competition both in the classroom and on the field or court.
St. Bernard School students compete in the Dallas Parochial League for all sports activities. Bruins Athletics provides sporting activities for students in grades 5th through 8th.
Fall Sports include:
- Volleyball: boys, girls, and co-ed divisions
- Football: Junior Varsity (5th-6th) and Varsity (7th-8th)
- Cross Country for all levels of runners in 5th – 8th grade
- Tennis: Junior Varsity (5th-6th) and Varsity (7th-8th), for all levels of competitors
- Swimming: with meets in October and February.
Our winter sport is Basketball with emphasis on fundamentals in 5th – 6th grade levels and a more competitive structure in 7th –8th grade levels.
Spring sports include:
- Track for all students in 5-8th grade, which include Junior Varsity and Varsity levels.
- Also the league offers a DPL soccer tournament in May, in which boys, girls and co-ed soccer teams compete.

Any student wishing to participate in St. Bernard Athletics for the 2014-2015 school year must complete the following: (all forms will be available on the St. Bernard website soon)
Athletic Program Participation (Registration) Form
Physical/Health form - must be turned in every year before student is able to participate in sport
Participation Fee - to be paid through FACTS
All forms must be returned to the school office ATTN: COACH WEAVER.
A team roster for each sport will be turned in to the office and you will be invoiced through FACTS. The invoice date will be given on the Athletic Program Participation (Registration) Form for that sport. You will be invoiced the day after the Registration Form deadline and the fee will be be drafted 15 after that. You may pay in FACTS but only after you've been invoiced.
